Miss Diane
My students call me Miss Diane. I am well known for my love and passion for anything Disney; from Disneyland itself to Disney music and trinkets. I love the color purple and my favorite food is hamburgers! I enjoy playing the piano, volleyball, watching movies, eating, traveling, and of course, teaching!
I have spent over 15 years teaching and working with children in one capacity or another. I attended and graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I maintain a current Level 1 Professional Educator License and am certified in the Student Tutoring Achievement for Reading (STAR) program that helps with phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. I base my preschool curriculum around a variety of different programs that are recognized nationwide, such as, Handwriting Without Tears, Learning Dynamics for letter sounds and Second Step for social and emotional awareness, as well as child protection. I love to find programs that explore new ways of teaching children foundational principles that they will need as they begin their formal education. I have always had a passion for teaching and love to make it fun and enjoyable for all! Integrating art, music, dancing, and role playing are definitely daily activities we incorporate at The Learning Loft Preschool!
